The Westport Woman's Club

Bunco started in the year 2000. This ever- popular game is best described as: food, fun, laughter and a chance to win some money at this fast paced dice game. No experience necessary. No long- term commitment. Easy- to- learn. Sign- up is outside the office on the bulletin board on a month- to- month basis. Bunco averages 20- 25 players monthly.

All items needed to play Bunco are stored in the Dining Room. There are several prize categories. Total amount of cash distributed varies. Members of the group are asked to commit to co- hosting once during the year. Hostesses provide drinks and snacks at their expense. Bunco meets in the kitchen at 7:00 p.m. to chat and chew. Play begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Banquet Room. There is a nominal registration fee for the evening.

Westport Woman’s Club expert Bunco player, Susan Fox, was crowned WWC Bunco Queen by Bunco Director, Wendy McKeon at the end of the monthly Bunco gathering on July 17th.  Her record for various Bunco accomplishments was quite impressive.

Susan Fox commented:   I was shocked, surprised and stunned when I was crowned Bunco Queen last night.  I’d like to thank all the other players who threw lousy dice and made this win possible.  Special thanks to Wendy McKeon for her excellent judgment in selecting this year’s winner. Better luck next year Amy.
