The Westport Woman’s Club Scholarship Committee awarded a total of $30,000 in scholarships to (8) Staples High School seniors and (1) Adult Woman’s scholarship at their May 22, 2015 Scholarship Awards Ceremony.
The scholarship awards are based on financial need and scholastic ability (no lower than 3.0 academic GPA).
This year’s scholarship recipients included Tracy Boyer (Emily B. Fuller Scholarship) – Southern Connecticut; Matthew Jacowleff (Ina Bradley Scholarship) – Northeastern University; Shannon Cardoza (Lea Ruegg Scholarship) – Quinnipiac University; Alaina Washington (Ulla & Karl Folke Eweson Scholarship)-Western New England University; Alexis Iannacone(WWC “Most Active Member” Karen Center Scholarship)-Bryant University; Michael Bottone (Westport Woman’s Club Scholarship)- West Virginia University; Gabriella Marone (Westport Woman’s Club Scholarship)- Salve Regina University; Lauren Reedy (Westport Woman’s Club Scholarship)- Rollins College.
Westport Woman’s Club awarded an Adult Woman’s Scholarship to Chidi Chizor (Gerry Munce Scholarship) who will be attending University of Bridgeport, and will earn her Masters in clinical mental health in the class of 2016.
