Charitable Giving - New Year's Day - 2016

Since 1907, the non-profit Westport Woman's Club's long history of local social philanthropy has included providing food, food gift certificates and meals to Westporters in need. Partnering with Westport's Dept. of Human Services, which protects client confidentiality, the WWC runs the Town's Food Closet, collecting both food and funds for gift certificates at holiday time. The value of annual WWC Food Closet distributions of food and certificates exceeds $40,000. Total average value of WWC grants to the community exceeds $100,000.
