Melissa Wasserman is a Westport native who discovered her passion for songwriting at 14 and went on to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music. She now works as a full-time board-certified music therapist at a children’s hospital in New York City. She is honored to return to her hometown for the Yankee Doodle Fair, where she’ll be sharing her original music from her debut album which was released in November 2025.
Also, the local band Late 4 Dinner (known to many Southern Connecticut residents since the band's formation in 2017) will be performing at this year's Yankee Doodle Fair.
The Westport Woman’s Club hopes to partner with local PTAs, Club 203, and other special education organizations to make this inaugural Sensory Hour a success and expand inclusive programming in future years.
The Fair will also feature live musical performances throughout the weekend.
