The Westport Woman’s Club hosted a gathering of current and prospective members of the Westport Woman’s Club on April 10th. Guests enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres, toured the historic Clubhouse, and learned how they can get involved in the WWC’s philanthropic and social activities.
WWC President, Mary Lee Clayton, talked about the various activities the Club carries out over the course of the year to raise funds to support charitable, educational, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns. “We do a lot of work volunteering and raising funds, ” said Clayton. “But we like to make sure we have a lot of fun, too, so we have social activities and special interest groups - it’s easy to find something that you will enjoy getting involved in.”
It’s not too late to join and share in the camaraderie for the 2014 year. Membership is open to all women 18 or older in Westport and surrounding areas. For further information call the WWC office at 203-227-4240.
