WWC Partners with Brooks Brothers of Westport to Raise Funds for Philanthropy

The Westport Woman’s Club hosted their Spring into Summer luncheon / fashion show with Spring and Summer Fashions by Brooks Brothers of Westport on Wednesday, April 13.  A full auditorium enjoyed a luncheon provided by Chris Negrin of “In Good Taste,” door prizes and favors before being treated to a fashion show featuring the newest spring and summer outfits and accessories being offered by Brooks Brothers.

Ted Simons played a piano accompaniment as members the Westport Woman’s Club and their escorts modeled fashions ranging from contemporary business looks to fun, flirty and sophisticated daytime and party clothes.   “We are delighted with the turn out we got,” said Jo Fuchs Luscombe, event chairperson.  “The fashion show was a fun way to get excited about finally putting away our heavy winter clothes, and a great way to raise money to support our philanthropic endeavors.” Ms. Luscombe also thanked all the donors who supported the event:  Brooks Brothers, Greens Farms Spirit Shop, Lux Bond & Green, Gold’s Delicatessen, United People’s Bank, Linda Debo and Amy Schneider.

All proceeds from the fashion show will go to support the WWC’s many community service projects, including the Scholarship Program and Community Services Grants, the “Food Closet” and Food Gift Certificates.
